MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or educational equivalent required
- Overall working knowledge of hardware, software, the internet, and networked systems with an ability to clearly discuss the same with a range of individuals who have minimal to high levels of technical knowledge required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills required
- Experience in computer system repair and/or computer support call center and/or a technical – computer systems related - degree is desirable
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Help Desk Support technicians act as the initial contact to resolve technical issues for the college. This technician will answer technical questions, trouble shoot issues to resolve computer related problems and/or issue service tickets to the appropriate Computer Service Division department. Work is performed via phone, email, and face-to-face within the help desk office and open computer lab using a variety of software, security access controls and remote management tools.
