Java Application Developer

 

We are looking for a JEE Java Developer to work on a client/server application that uses EJBs to communicate between an application server and a Swing GUI client deployed using jnlp. The software is an ERP system (Electronic Medical Records, Patient Demographics, Accounting, etc) for the Ophthalmology field.

 

We want a developer who lives and breathes Java programming to fit in with the rest of the team. We focus on quality of work and a desire to do things right the first time. Where everyone carries their weight without putting in 50+ hours a week.

 

Must have:

* Strong troubleshooting ability.

* Ability to work independently.

* Ability to pick up new technologies quickly.

* Strong attention to detail.

* Strong desire to succeed.

* Strong OOP understanding.

* 2+ years of experience.

 

Highly desired Skills:

* EJB experience

* Swing experience

* RDBMS and SQL understanding

* Design Patterns and Antipatterns

* JasperReports

* Web development experience (e.g., html, javascript, jsp, servlets, struts)

* Linux and Mac

* JMS

* Webstart/JNLP

* Java Multithreading

* Hibernate experience

* PostgreSQL

* JBoss

* Eclipse

* CVS
